INDIA REFLECTIONS

        The Warlis are Indian indigenous peoples. Their wall sketching  tradition goes back to almost 2500 years BC. In fact their mural paintings are similar to those done between 500 to 10,000 BC in the caves of Central India.

Bhudhism was born in India 2500 years ago. The tree under which Budha meditated and attained enlightenment 25 centuries ago still stands in Bihar, India and is growing out of its own saplings. Buddhist Emperor, Ashoka, did not just patronize the temples and monasteries, but also the World’s earliest University at Nalanda in Bihar, India which was founded 2500 years ago. The university housed 2000 teachers and over 10,000 students from all parts of the World.

The grand Elephant procession against the backdrop of the golden ruins of Hampi, the capital of the Vijayanagar empire,which ruled Southern India from 1336 to 1565.
The ruins are a UNESCO World heritage Site.

                 Taj In Twilight

The Taj was built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal. It is one of the most beautiful structures in the world and stands as a symbol of eternal love. The construction began around 1632AD and was completed by 1653AD. Today it is a UNESCO World heritage Site.

The Indian landscape is wide and varied, from the towering Himalayas in the north to the backwaters of Kerela, in south.

This is the sea shore of Orissa, east of India
